New Delhi, Jan 11: What's with the politics of fasting among our esteemed Indian politicians? No prizes for guessing but ex rebel Congress leader and Former AP Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy's son, Jagan Mohan Reddy is going the fasting way yet again.
This time the issue is not Telanagana but the Krishna Water dispute. Jagan will go on a day-long fast protesting the "injustice" doled out to Andhra Pradesh by the Tribunal who came out with a feasible solution to the dispute about who will have access to the Krishna river water.
Jagan is protesting in spite of the fact that Andhra Pradesh was the primary beneficiary of the Tribunal's decision. He will be joined by his supporters and other key members of his newly launched party to kick start the fasting at 10am in Jantar Mantar on Tuesday, Jan 11.
The Congress High Command will observe Jagan's initiative closely to understand his political clout and how many Congress MPs and MLAs he will gather support from.
