Saira Banu, Telugu Actress, Prostitution Arrest

Saira Banu, Indian actress, was arrested in an undercover sting operation that exposed a prostitution ring. The sting occurred after a months long investigation within Kundan Bagh in Hyderabad. Nine other people have been arrested since August 21, 2010. Out of the nine arrests for sex trafficking women throughout India, three have been confirmed as actors.

Banu has maintained her innocence since her arrest on Saturday. Local news reports from the Kundah Bagh issued a statement from Banu which said “I came here to meet a person and talk about a movie offer.”
