Dimitry arrives; India-Russia to sign $30bn N-deal

New Delhi, Dec 21: On the very first day of his India visit, Russian President Dimitry Medvedev on Tuesday, Dec 21 is expected to sign billions of dollars deals with India.

According the government sources, the main agenda of Medvedev's two-day India visit is to sign the 30 billion dollars' nuclear and defence deals.


"It is not a mere buyer-seller relationship, but the two sides are looking at joint research and development and joint production," stated senior diplomat Vishnu Prakash.

However, External Minister SM Krishna on Dec 20 informed that both India and Russia are will discuss about the necessary steps against the wide spreaded terrorism in the world.

"The discussions on international issues will include the situation in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region that impacts the security of both India and Russia," stated Krishna.
