KADAPA: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy disputed reports appearing in a section of the press that he had a heated argument with his uncle YS Vivekananda Reddy yesterday at the house of CV Subba Reddy, father-in- law of YS Manohar Reddy, a cousin of late Rajasekhara Reddy.
In a statement faxed from Pulivendula today, Jagan said ‘’It is a fact that I am upset that Vivekananda Reddy is being used by Sonia Gandhi to split my family. It is also a fact that we both could not come to an understanding after the discussion. However, I have a high regard for my uncle and he continues to be the member of our family.” It may be mentioned that Jagan had an argument with Vivekananda Reddy for about 20 minutes in presence of about 25 to 30 family members. The meeting was organised by Bhaskar Reddy to pursue Vivekananda Reddy not to join the Cabinet.According to sources, Jagan, reportedly, told his uncle that he was being used as a pawn by Sonia Gandhi to split the otherwise undivided YS family. He also recalled how YS helped him to grow politically and it would be unethical to join hands with those who were damaging the image of the late leader. However, an adamant Vivekananda Reddy, said that he gave a word to Sonia Gandhi and would continue to sail with her. During the discussion, Jagan became a bit furious. This was when Vijayamma intervened and pacified both the members, after which Vivekananda Reddy left the venue in a huff.
