YouTube, world's favourite video-sharing website on which users can upload and share videos without any cost, has reported on Thursday, Jan 13, that it's providing more than 200 million videos daily to smartphones and other Internet-linked mobile devices.
YouTube announced the achievement this milestone while launching the routing of Vevo music videos. This Vivo gallery brings music videos from artists such as Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin, U2 etc. Now users can enjoy this exclusive gallery on smartphones running on Google Android operating system.
Users with smartphones running on Android 2.2 Froyo and above can download the free YouTube application to enjoy Vevo music gallery. Vevo music website is a joint venture between Google, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and Abu Dhabi Media
"As the world goes mobile and more people watch videos on their smart phones, we expect more partners will take advantage of these new mobile advertising capabilities and make more of their content available across more devices," YouTube mobile product manager Andrey Doronichev said in a blog post.
