SUDHA Co-operative Urban Bank Limited, started functioning on 17th January, 2000. It gave way to many new avenues. Bank helped needy people of SURYAPET Town for their multifarious Banking requirements. It is the First computerized Bank in town. It is the first Co-operative Sector Bank in this decade with all Banking activities under one roof. The Bank has created its own History with 16 crores of deposits in several schemes and 11 crores of advances in as many as 16 loan segments. The Bank is backed by 4000 share-holders and 9780 depositors/account-holders. The Bank is rendering its services throughout the week including SUNDAYS.

Sudha Co-operative Urban Bank Limited was promoted by familiar personalities. They belonged to different fields like Industry, Commerce, Professionals, Agriculture and Banking. Suryapet is an ‘A’ Grade Municipal Town with more than 1 lakh population. The Town welcomed warmly with 1 Crore of deposits on its opening day itself. A freedom fighter well-known Industrialist Sri Meela Sathyanarayana was the Chairman. Sri Peddireddy Ganesh who framed the idea to establish the bank with commerce backdrop was the Managing Director. The Image of familiar directors helped the Bank to create history in “Bhanupuri” a historical town named after as “Suryapet”.
On January 17th, 2000 inaugurated by the Union Minister Sri Ch. Vidyasagar Rao accompanied by veteran parliamentarian Sri S. Jayapal Reddy and all political, official personalities on that day. Bank has got many specialties of its own. It is the ever first fully computerized bank does the business from Morning to Evening and Seven days a week. It has extended many naval services to the customers catering to their needs to make Banking much easier and friendly. It has recorded stable growth in the last ten years and reached 26 crores of business as on today. It is an ‘A’ Class Bank in functioning and Grade I bank for its networth. It has been recording ‘0’ (Zero) net NPAs for the past 5 years and earning profits from its inception and paying good dividends to the share-holders.
We have planned many schemes for Women to encouraging savings habit. One of the best scheme is “Vasudha” daily savings scheme. We also floated many schemes for small time traders and weaker sections. For the past one Decade there are many Entrepreneurs grown in their activities with the help of the bank. Bank also revived the long forgotten cultural event “Thyagaraja Aradhanothsavam” in the town in the month of January every year. Bank honors veteran artists and arranges the concerts of many stalwarts in Carnatic Music. Now the SURYAPET Town has become familiar for its cultural activities. Its un-tired endeavor of the bank to give good service to the customer and handsome earning to the depositor. A helping hand to the borrower. A satisfactory dividend to the share-holder.
