Mukesh Ambani Biography

Mukesh Ambani (born April 19, 1957 in Yemen) is an Indian gujarati businessman. He is the chairman, managing director and the largest shareholder of Reliance Industries, India's largest private sector enterprise and a Fortune 500 company. His personal stake in Reliance Industries is 48%.His wealth is valued at US$15.5 billion (according to Forbes), making him the richest man in Asia as well as world's 7th richest person. Mukesh and younger brother Anil are sons of the late founder of Reliance Industries, Dhirubhai Ambani. Mukesh also owns the Indian Premier League team Mumbai Indians. Mukesh Ambani joined Reliance in 1981 and initiated Reliance's backward integration from textiles into polyester fibres and further into petrochemicals.

Education

Mukesh Ambani was educated at Abaay Morischa School in Mumbai and completed his graduation with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the UDCT. Mukesh later enrolled for an MBA from Stanford University but completed only one year of the two year program.

He likes to visit Kruger National Park in South Africa.Along with buissness he also likes sports.He owns Mumbai Indains.

He is also a member of Council on Foreign Relations Mukesh Ambani is now the co-chairman of Reliance Industries Limited.
