Silambarasan Rajendar Biography

T. R. Silambarasan (born Silambarasan Rajendar on February 3, 1983 in Chennai, India), is a Tamil film actor, director, playback singer and songwriter. He began his acting career doing many minor uncredited roles as a child artist, produced by his father T.Rajendar. He made his debut under his father's direction in 2002 and has since acted in several films in lead roles. He has also directed one film, Vallavan. Silambarasan acted in Tamil films as a child artist in his father's films like Monisha En Monalisa, Sabash Babu, Rajadi Rajavan, and Thiruvalla in minor roles. His father, T. Rajendar had an idea to make Silambarasan direct a film at the age of 15 but dropped later.

Relationships

Silambarasan created headlines when publicity posters sprung up around Chennai of his Vallavan co-star, nayanthara and him kissing. However, despite maintaining a high-profile relationship, involving the press, the pair broke up soon after the film was released citing differences. Nonetheless, after the break-up, pictures were released anonymously of the pair kissing each other at nayanthara's apartment. Further controversy was created when rumours leaked out that the plot of Silambarasan's forthcoming film, Kettavan, was based on the couple's true lovestory.
