Peshawar, May 18: You reap what you sow. In yet another manifestation of the age-old saying, Pakistan experienced another deadly attack by more than 70 militants on a security check-post on the outskirts of Peshawar, a city in the northwestern part of the country.

The attack triggered a shootout that left two security officials dead and five wounded.

Abdul Jabbar, a security official was quoted byReuters as saying, "They were armed with AK-47 rifles and rockets. We successfully repulsed the first attack. They attacked again and then there was an exchange of fire that lasted for about two- and-a-half hours."

He added, "There were casualties on the other side also but they took away their bodies and we don't know how many of them were killed or wounded."

While no organisation has yet claimed responsibility for the dreadful attacks, analysts see it as another of the still-many-to-come attacks to avenge the killing of al-Qaeda supremo Osama bin Laden.
